Mohan P. Kandasamy Gounder is an Indian politician and association executive from Tirupur. He is a former Member of the Legislature of Tamil Nadu representing Pongalur Constituency from Tamil Maanila Congress. He was the president of South India Hosiery Manufacturers Association (SIHMA).[1][2]
"Mohanji" as he is fondly remembered by his well wishers, supporters and followers greatly stood for cause of wellness of many temples. He is well remembered for his effort in establishing the temple, "Thiru Neelakandiamman Temple" in Pongalur.He also was one of the trustee member of "pazhani thirukovil". He inspired many and continues to do so.
He is the maternal uncle of the chairman of Tirupur Exporters Association [TEA], Mr.Shakthivel & brothers of Poppies Exports, a prominent name in garment export business.
His granddaughter bagged multiple gold medals during her study in the university.His son, Mr. Mohan Karthik, now runs the Kids Club and Kids Matriculation School in Tirupur.
