PESIMSR, is the first medical college in the town of Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was established in the year 2003. It was inaugurated by then President Mr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and Former Chief Minister Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu. Kuppam is the constituency of Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Peoples Education Society's (PES) Institute of Medical Sciences, Kuppam was started functioning in the year 2001, has been affiliated to NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. Situated in Kuppam (Andhra Pradesh), the medical college is one of the constituent institutes of Peoples Education Society. The college has been approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi. Peoples Education Society's (PES) Institute of Medical Sciences and Research conducts an undergraduate course in the Medical Sciences, with all the modern facilities required for the smooth conduct of the course. The college admits 150 students every year, for the five-and-half-year undergraduate program. PES Institute of Medical Sciences offers modern facilities to its students. The college is well known for admitting the children of doctors & staff, free of charge and making sure they pass out with flying colors.
Admission Procedure [M.B.B.S]:
The candidate should have passed two years Intermediate Education conducted by the Board of Intermediate studies, Hyderabad, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects or any other examination recognized as equivalent to it by NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. The candidate should have secured not less than 50% of the total marks in science subjects taken together at the qualifying examination. Proficiency in English is essential. The candidate should have completed 17 year of age at the time of admission.
Post Graduate Clinical coursesDoctor of Medicine — A three-year course in following specialties: Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Radiology, Anaesthesiology, Dermatology & Psychiatry.
MS - (Master of Surgery) A three-year course in following specialties: General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, & Otorhinolaryngology (ENT).
Postgraduate diploma (two-year) courses in Anaesthesiology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Paeditrics, & Radiology.
[edit]Non-clinical courses MD — A three-year course in Physiology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine& Anatomy The qualification for all PG and PG diploma courses is an MBBS degree from any MCI (Medical Council of India) recognized medical college in India or an equivalent foreign degree which is recognized by the MCI.
CampusThe college has a large campus comprising staff quarters, a library, hostels for ladies, for men with all amenities and a recently built Auditorium. There are good sports facilities for football, basketball, cricket and other sports with sports equipment. Cricket is particularly given much importance. The college follows the principle that "Sports is not for everybody"
