Oyster Marine

Oyster Marine is a British manufacturer of fiberglass sailboats founded by Richard Matthews in 1973.[1] In 1978, the company introduced a 46-foot cruiser-racer designed by Holman and Pye which pioneered the deck saloon style that has become the trademark of Oyster yachts.[2] In 1997, they launched a 53-foot design by Rob Humphreys[1] and in 2002 a 62-foot Humphreys' design[2]. In 2008, the company asked Dubois Naval Architects to design a line of superyachts including 100, 125, and 125 flybridge foot designs.[1] Oyster Marine currently builds 46, 54, 56, 575, 625, 655, 72, and 82 foot sailboat designs.[1]
