Oxford and St Georges Old Boys and Old girls Clubs

Oxford and St Georges Old Boys and Old Girls Clubs was formed in 1924 by Basil Henriques who was an Oxford Graduate. The first club in the East End of London was held in Cannon Street Road and it expanded into bigger premises in Betts Street where the Girl's Club was added. By the 1920s Henroiques had raised sufficient money to build a purpose built boys and girls club and settlement providing a wide range of services to the local community. The services included a nursery, medical services, welfare, citizens advice, free legal services, a synagogue.
