Restructuring - banks & corporate

Ovington's restructuring activities were integrated into the firm when it merged with European Resolution Capital Partners Ltd. (ERC) in 2010. This part of the company's business focuses on providing advice to financial institutions in Europe with a focus on solving issues relating to non-performing-loan portfolios. ERC was founded in 2008 by a number of senior executives including: Justin Jenk, Jan-Erik Kvarnström[4][5], Arne Liljedahl, Peter Buttenschön, and others[6].

In 2009 and 2010 ERC was involved in a number of bank restructurings across Europe, including Swedbank's Baltic virtual bad bank (BFR&R) in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, which had been widely cited in the Swedish and other national media[7][8]. ERC's positive contribution to Swedbank's development during the credit crisis is covered extensively in a recent book ("Fritt Fall: the game at Swedbank", by Birgitta Forsberg).

ERC has mandates with several financial institutions across Europe as well as individual corporate clients. It is a frequent contributor to external events.
