Ovidiu Hoban (born 27 December 1982, Baia Mare) is an Romanian footballer currently under contract with Liga I side Gaz Metan Mediaş.

He is a very good defensive player, capable to play in a lot of positions in defence or in the midfield. He is the team's most used player in last couple of years.
