Jon Reichardt is a singer/guitarist/songwriter from Sydney, Australia. After years of playing in many different bands ranging from Jazz to Metal, Jon released his debut solo album, "Bittersweet Song Therapy" in 2004. Although mainly an acoustic artist, his music leans of a diverse range of influences, having been brought up in Sweden, and living in various other places before finally settling down in Sydney. After the release of his album Jon auditioned many musicians for his live act, and finally settled upon a concrete line up: Tim Gardiner on Bass, Dorny on Guitar, Jonny Lawless on Drums and Dean Adams on Keyboard. The band is currently in rehearsals preparing for their album launch at the Eastwood Hotel on
22 October 2005 .Jon is a very enthusiastic Christian and has is envolved in many churches around Sydney to date. With the regular drum performances at the amazing Youth Group with the name Ignite at North Ryde Gospel Hall, which is run with the help of his Bassist, Timothy Ross Gardiner, he is a great worship leader with many amazing well showing talents.
Some of his performances is the Ryde area also include the main stage at the Eastwood GrannySmith Festival in 2006.
"The Jon Reichardt Band" has also had many other performances in the Sydney area, such as at "The Basement" in Circulay Quay, and at "Bar Broadway" in, obviously, Broadway.
With some of his well-rounded song such as "The Easter Song" and "The Ending" with great piano and guitar riffs and perfect tones and dynamics, Jon has really portrayed the perfect song sound.
His songs also have the great transitions from soft rock to a medium metal sound in the song "The Ending". His use of strong vocal techniques is very clear in this song. So check it out on his MySpace.
