Osmo Kontula

Osmo Kontula is a Research Professor at the Population Research Institute of the Family Federation of Finland, Docent (Senior Lecturer) in Sociology at the University of Helsinki and Honorary Associate Professor, Faculty of Health Science, University of Sydney.

Work

He has been active in sex research and sexual science for 25 years as well as a member of a number of sexological organizations for the past 20 years. He has authored 300 various types of publications, of which more than 50 are books authored or edited by him. His work has been translated into nine languages. His research topics in sexology have included national and international trends in sexual values and patterns and sexual life styles, sexual relationships, sexual initiation, teenage sexual health, and sex education.^[1]
