Early life

Oscar Blandi was born and raised in Naples, Italy. He began styling hair at the age of fourteen in the back of his father’s salon, and left to work in several of his father’s colleagues’ salons. Oscar’s passion for hair lead him to attend art school, and his true career began.

Career

Blandi's father, brother, and three sisters were all in the haircutting business, so he was exposed to the art at an early age. Blandi began his career at age fourteen, working at the back of his father’s salon. After attending art school, he moved to the United States, and opened his own salon in the Plaza Hotel on Madison Avenue. In 2005, Blandi launched his Oscar Blandi Product Collection, developed by Blandi himself [1].

Salon

The Oscar Blandi Salon opened in 2009. His team consists of about 30 stylists (including his brother, Luca Blandi), manicurists, and beauticians.
