(Fr.) Syd. & P. Syd.Ophiostoma is a genus of fungi within the Ophiostomataceae family.[1]
Ophiostoma includes the following species:
- Ophiostoma carpenteri Hausner, Eyjólfsdóttir, and Reid, 2003, an ophiostomatoid fungus closely related to Ophiostoma retusum (R.W. Davidson et T.E. Hinds) Hausner et al. named in honor of Dr. Steven E. Carpenter, Ph.D., of Philomath, Oregon, who collected the isolates and provided them to the authors for study.[2]
