Ope Pasquet

Ope Pasquet Iribarne (born 1955) is a Uruguayan political figure and lawyer.

He is a lawyer by profession. For many years he has been an activist for the Colorado Party (Uruguay).^[1]

Political role

Under-secretary for Foreign Affairs

Pasquet was appointed Under-secretary for Foreign Affairs in 1985, in the administration of President of Uruguay Julio María Sanguinetti.

Former collaborator of Vice President Hierro López

For a number of years Pasquet was regarded as politically close to prominent Colorado Luis Antonio Hierro López, a former Vice President of Uruguay.
