Onepoto is a small settlement on the southern shore of Lake Waikaremoana in the North Island of New Zealand. The village is close to the old overflow channel of the lake and the intake of the Waikaremoana hydroelectric power scheme. The name Onepoto (short beach) refers to the small bay to the north of the village with a beach only 60 metres long.[1]
