- Ombra della sera
-
Ombra della sera (Italian, literally «Shadow of the evening») is an Etruscan statue from the town of Velathri, currently known as Volterra. It was first depicted in a 1737 collection of Etruscan antiquities.[1]
Features
It represents a nude male silhouette, 57,5 cm long (about 22,6 inches), but the very interesting thing is that the entire body is elongated except the head, which maintains the correct proportions.
