Ole Anton Sæther (born 9 December 1936) is a Norwegian entomologist.
He worked as a professor of zoology at Bergen Museum from 1977 to his retirement in 2006. He penned about 235 academic publications, and is a member of the editorial board of the journal Aquatic Insects. He received an honorary degree at Nankai University in 2000, and is an honorary member of the Finnish Entomological Society.[1] The festschrift Contributions to the Systematics and Ecology of Aquatic Diptera: A Tribute to Ole A. Sæther was released for his seventieth birthday.[2] The species Orthocladius saetheri and the genus Saetheriella have been named after him.[citation needed]
He resides in Ulset in Åsane.[1]
