The Okunevo village is located 250 kilometers from the city of Omsk in Muromtsevo district.
The village is known by its inhabitants of different faiths and beliefs, as well as its amazing history and nature. Okunevo houses the Tara river, that have the same name as the Goddess of Mercy in India and Tibet. According to archaeologists, Tara banks is the result of a giant crater formed by a meteorite fragment impact. Long ago this river was comparable to the Nile and the Ganges, in terms of its aquatic and geological significance.

History and mystery
In the summer of 1963 in the heart of Okunevo under the School mountain, located on the steep bank of the Tara river, the local kids found two light gray mirror-polished plates with 100x60x20 inches size each, that apparently was the debris of some artificial structure. In 2000, under the same mountain with the help of seismographs some artificial structure was found on the 12-meter depth.
Mysteries start with the name of the Tara river, on the bank which all of these searches held. Translated from the ancient Indian, the word means savior, according to another version - the star. Opened in the Omsk region, the ancient underground structures in some incomprehensible way connected with India. Indian woman Rasma, who took a direct part of archaeological excavations, says that a huge temple was on the banks of the Tara river thousands of years ago, the ruins of which are now deeply under the ground, under the Tatar ridge (ridges is the steep banks of an ancient Tara river, that have survived to our time).
Satya-Sai-Baba, an Indian prophet, convinced that: an ancient Indian temple of the great Indian healer, the monkey-god Hanuman is hiding deep underground on the banks of Tara river. The same was written in the ancient Aryan source Rigveda. According to one version, there was a powerful Proto-Slavic civilization on the vast territory of Western Siberia with the city, which stood at the confluence of the Irtysh and Om rivers in the old days.
This hypothesis is supported by ancient written monument of the Russian people, the sacred Veles book, which refers to the big city, which had a sanctuary. It was located at the confluence of the Iriy (the ancient name of the Irtysh river) and Om rivers.
Presumably, this region was destroyed by meteorite. Pieces of the meteorite formed a large depressions that was filled with water in the future. Thus the nonterrestrial origin lakes was born, the water in which sharply differs from the usual river and lake. Presumably, was formed five such unearthly lakes because of the fragments number of a fallen meteorite. Three lakes are located in Omsk region (Linevo, Danilovo, Potaennoe), and two - in the Novosibirsk region, district of Kyshtovskiy (Urmannoe, Indovo).
Three Omsk region lakes connected by an underground river, and its water is considered sacred. According to legends, it does not deteriorate over the years, cures of diseases. It treats not only water, but even the pictures of these lakes, that indicating about some unknown energy, and possibly magical properties of these supernatural entities. Scientists have discovered that the Danylovo lake had triple bottom, and there was found a lot of silver, so the water has excess of active ions of this metal. Perhaps therefore the Danilovo lake water eliminates many diseases.
The Shaitan Lake
Shatan lake is located at the intersection of two faults, and four lakes: Shuchye, Linevo, Danilovo and Urmannoe are located along deep fault line, that stretching along the right bank of Tara for tens of kilometers. Between Shaitan lake and the four above-named lakes faults form an isosceles triangle. Sometimes there is a rare natural phenomenon - luminescence of silvery clouds in the sky in this area.
According to legend, a temple of Hindu god Hanuman is located at the bottom of the lake, built many thousands of years ago. Hanuman is the giant, who helped Rama fight the evil forces, that referred to the Ramayana epic. The legend goes that after the victory Rama granted Siberia to his companion, where Hanuman built a beautiful city with many churches. This city supposedly is located in the lake, hidden in the thick sand and bottom silt.
According to legend, the main attraction of the Hanuman temple is Thinking Crystal - a magical talisman in the shape of the octahedron with 1,2 meters height. He maintained constant contact with the space, from which he was taken from the Sirius planet. Thinking Crystal is the keeper of Sirius aliens knowledge. It contains life-saving information for all of humanity, stalled in its development, because it is a great source of energy that can changed not only the now existing Earth energy supply system, but also a way of thinking, and most importantly - our way of life.
Every year dozens of expeditions come to Okunevo from all over the world. Many were attracted an amazing lake water. It can stand without deteriorating over the years. At the same time it preserves a fresh taste and smell as if it have filled recently.
But not all people, who want to make sure the unique water properties from Shaitan lake, get to these mysterious places. They say Okunevo zone don't receive everyone. Often on the way to Okunevo people start to stray, though they walk on a compass. Сonditions are such that the trip is delayed or does not take place. As in any anomalous zone space-time curvature are in the Okunevo place. One group of pilgrims went to Shaitan lake, strictly checking the compass. Distance to the lake had to be not more than an hour. When three hours later, pilgrims still did not see the water surface, they are slightly worried. With every hour their concerns grew, because the places around was getting absolutely wild. In the end, in seven hours wandering pilgrims decided to return. They went back the same way, and after 20 minutes were in the place where the path began.
Local inhabitants are no longer surprised by such miracles. They know that there are days when is better not to go to the surrounding forest - you can not go back. If in the morning contrasting dark purple clouds crawl at the sky, the hunters stay home. Otherwise they risk to disappear in the taiga thicket.
Aperiodicities
Some village inhabitants, tourists, ufologists and geophysics argue that paranormal things occur in Okunevo such as:
- A significant reduction or improvement of natural electromagnetic field;
- Inexplicable sound of music;
- Shafts of light, the figures of girls and women;
- Celestial signs (e.g., horses, dogs);
- Luminous balls and large yellow, orange and red spots;
- Downed tree tops, a lot of twisted trees or growing straight and then, in some odd way growing bent, and then again, growing straight.
Religious communities
Babadjists
In 1991, ashram "Omkar Shiva Dham" was unofficially founded. At the request of the Indian guru Sri Babaji from Haidakhan, his pupil, Latvia native Rasma Rozitis, went in 1989 to search place where the temple of God Hanuman is located. Its mission was unusual: to find and revive the Hanuman Temple, lost somewhere in Siberia. According to Rajni (her religious name), the choice fell on Omsk, because the name of this city tune with the sacred syllable 'Om' which has, according to the mystical Indian teachings, an enormous divine energy, pure vibration, penetrating the Universe. The search for the sacred places led Rajni to the Okunevo village. Village outskirts have been recognized as territory, where there was a temple of Hanuman. Several years Rajni lived in Okunevo and spent Vedic rituals everyday. Local inhabitants were gathered at these ceremonies. The fans of various mystical teachings and meditation practices went to Okunevo not only from Omsk, but also from other cities of Russia and from abroad.
The activity of a new cult has caused serious concern of Omsk-Tara orthodox eparchy. In 1993, the Archbishop (now metropolitan) Theodosius personally came to Okunevo to repel babadjists.
After five years, Rasma went to Latvia, and her followers develop the work, started by her in Siberia. Ashram, registered as a religious community "Omkar Shiva Dham" in 1995, continues his life. Ashram "Omkar Shiva Dham" is the Russian center of an international organization of Babaji followers "Haidakhan Samaj". The purpose of this organization is spreading teachings of Shri Babaji.
Vedoruses
In 2000 vedoruses (heathens) arrived in Okunevo. They say that these places have a special energy and attraction. Concept of "Vedoruses" they explain as "maintenance of Ra". "Maintenance" means "knowledge" and "Ra" means "light". "Let Ra would be more in you", - these kind and very friendly people say it to guests. They have a few houses, painted in bright colors. There are a happy houses with name "Clouds" and "Elephant".
They build tableware (plates, vases) from the local clay, paint it and sell in the summer. Vedorusses own studio, pottery, their magic tree, headquarters and even the logbook, where they talk about their life. There is also a home for meditation - Vedic Temple.
Main Beliefs
They maintain that the next great savant who will point out and reveal all such sites of Vedic importance has already been born. He is said to have strong ties with Indian cities like Bangalore and Mumbai, having studied or stayed in each alternately. Presently they await his self-realization, to move from one of the major centers of financial wealth in South East Asia and lead them in the Vedic quest. There are rumors that his name is Santosh Rao and that he is married to a punjabi girl with 5 sisters.
