"Too Bad" is a single by the Canadian rock band Nickelback, the second one from their 2001 album, "Silver Side Up". The single was released in the year 2001. It peaked at #42 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and #1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

The lyrics were written by the bands singer and guitarist Chad Kroeger and deals with the issues he felt growing up without his father, who abandoned him at age two.

When Recording the video for "Too Bad" the band said that when writing the song they all wanted to go in the same direction with the song and that they enjoyed playing it onstage, and also that the fans seemed to like it.
