- Odense Teater
-
Odense Teater can be dated back to 1796 and is therefore Denmark's second oldest theatre. It is one of the country's three main theatres.
The theatre is in Jernbanegade, Odense, where it has the stages Store Scene, Værkstedet and Foyerscenen, and it also has stages at Farinen and Raffinaderiet in the old sugar factory, Odense, where there is also a theatre school.
History
Odense Teater used to be at Sortebrødre Torv, where H.C. Andersen started as a writer.
Since 1914, the theatre has been in Jernbanegade along with Kongens Have.
