Oakhyrst Grange School is a small, independent school in Caterham, Surrey, England, for pupils aged 3–11. It is on the outskirts of Caterham, in Stanstead Road, and has been on its current site for over 50 years. Oakhyrst’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) department has now received back-to-back ‘Outstanding’ Reports from Ofsted and the ISI. [1]

Oakhyrst Grange School is based in a late Victorian house (1892) built for Mr Frederick J. Cullingford. It was bought and converted into a school in the 1950s, having moved from Hillside on Tupwood Lane. Little Oakhyrst, which is now a separate private dwelling, was originally the coach house and garage, housing the coachman and later the chauffeur. The gardener used to live in what was known as Oakhyrst Lodge (1911 census) but is now a separate house on Stanstead Road. The indoor swimming pool is also used extensively by the local community. Oakhyrst Grange School's swimming team competes in a range of local and national competitions. Being an indepedent preaparatory school, children from Oakhyrst Grange School will move on to local senior independent schools, most commonly Caterham School, Whitgift School, Trinity School, Croydon High School and Woldingham School. [2] The Cameron Hall, the school's multi-purpose school hall, was built in 1984.
