OKTESOL

Oklahoma Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Language, or OKTESOL, is a professional association of ESL teachers operating in Oklahoma.

Activities

The organization is publishes a regular newsletter and meets twice annually, usually in Oklahoma City or Tulsa – once for its major meeting, and again for its Spring Fling.

OKTESOL Mission

Taken from the OKTESOL website, its mission is as follows:

"To offer opportunities to develop increased expertise to its members and others working toward the goal of teaching English to speakers of other languages and to nurture effective communication in Oklahoma’s multicultural settings while respecting individual language rights."^[1]

Current leadership

Nelson Einwaechter, Academic Director for ELS Language Centers/ Oklahoma City is the current president of OKTESOL.
