Nuclear Law Association

The Nuclear Law Association (NLA) "is a fora for the legal community to discuss issues relating to peaceful use of nuclear energy in India". NLA has been established in the year 2011 and based at New Delhi, India.

The NLA seeks to fulfill following basic objectives[1]:

I. To promote knowledge sharing.

II. To influence policy formulation through seminars, research and outreach activities.

III. To engage with the stakeholders from India & abroad for further collaboration.

The NLA has constituted three working groups that analyze various facets of nuclear law and policy.[2]

Contents

Governance

The NLA consists of the management and advisory council. The current management consists of Mohit Abraham (Treasurer), Dr. R. Rajesh Babu (Member), Dipankar Bandopadhyay (Member), Arun Khanna K K (Vice-Chairman), M.P. Ram Mohan (Chairman), Els Reynaers (Secretary). The Advisory Council consists of Justice S Rajendra Babu, Patrick Reyners and Prof. Mahendra Pal Singh.

Membership

The NLA membership is divided into four major categories and interested persons belonging to the legal community can become NLA members subject to approval by the Governing Board and payment of fees as stipulated by the Governing Board.[3]
