NuBus 90'
NuBus 90 is a type of slot[clarification needed] which has been built in many models like the Macintosh Quadra 900 and Macintosh Quadra 950. NuBus slots provided some better performance to the computer by providing higher power or supporting some of the NuBus 90 features. The higher power supply in the Quadra 950 gives additional current on the +5V outputs for NuBus slots. The Quadra 950 was very powerful so it has enough power to generate 2 25-watt cards and 3 15-watt cards.
Upgrading The NuBus 90 slots For Maximum Performance on Computers
To push the Quadra computer to the limit of strength, the processor-direct slot is connected to a MC68040 microprocessor. The PDS replaced a NuBus card. PDS cards can support another card and lots of memory. The PDS cards must work with a MC68040 microprocessor. If must be built to be compatible, or else it won't work.
