Novacaixagalicia (NCG) is the trading name of Caixa de Aforros de Galicia, Vigo, Ourense e Pontevedra a Spanish savings bank based in Galicia. It is the fourth-largest caixa in Spain with consolidated assets valued at €78.1 billion,^[1] and fourth-largest in savings accounts, with €108.4 billion - 6% of Spanish savings banks.^[2]

History

The company was founded on December 1, 2010 following the merger of Caixa Galicia (Caja de Ahorros de Galicia) and Caixanova (Caixa de Aforros de Vigo, Ourense e Pontevedra). It was registered at the La Coruña provincial company register.La Coruña, its both corporate and operational headquarters.

It is the first financial institution registered in Galician.^[3]
