Nour El Tayeb, (born March 8, 1993 in Cairo) is a professional squash player who represented Egypt. She reached a career-high world ranking of twelve in November, 2011.^[1][2] El Tayeb – daughter of a squash playing father, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Tayeb – she was born and raised in Cairo and started playing at age five at the Heliopolis Club, where she continues to be based.

The highlight of her junior career was, at age sixteen, reaching the final of the World Juniors in 2009, beating top seed Dipika Pallikal on the way before losing to fellow Egyptian Nour El Sherbini.

But as early as 2007 she began to show just her potential by reaching the main draw of the Hurghada International. Since then, despite study taking the upper hand over squash she has continued to improve. In Alexandria in 2008 she did well against former world champion Vanessa Atkinson before the Dutchwoman won in five, and in the 2009 World Open upset the form book to reach the main draw. This result helped her reach the WISPA top 50 for the first time, with the top twenty as the next target for El Tayeb.

She says that her ambition is to play against the top five and then become one of them.^[3]
