North Hennepin Squadron is a Composite Squadron in the Civil Air Patrol, the United States Air Force Auxiliary. It is located at the Crystal Airport in Crystal, Minnesota. As of February 1, 2010, the squadron has 45 cadets and 50 seniors. The squadron has won the Minnesota Wing Colorguard Competition for its third year in a row, and it also has a phenomenal drill team who took first place at the Wing Competition on November 13, 2010. The squadron is prominent in the wing and several Wing dignitaries have emerged from it. Their tagline is that they were "The First Composite Squadron in the Nation - Since 1942". The squadron was founded in 1942. The reason it is referred to as the First Composite Squadron is because it is the first CAP squadron to allow both cadets and seniors to become members of the squadron. They are a part of the Minnesota Wing and the North Central Region of the Civil Air Patrol.
