The foundation[1] Stiftelsen Kvinneuniversitetet i Norden[1] has its offices in Nesna, Norway, at Nesna University College. It was established in 2011, co-founded by Berit Ås and Henning Jakhelln. Its business address is in Oslo.[1]

Funding

100 000 Norwegian kroner was granted by the municipality of Nesna in 2011.[2] The foundation was also funded[citation needed] by the Ministry of Education and Research and the Ministry of Children, Equality and Social Inclusion.

Plans for research

It plans to focus[additional citation needed] on women's studies, in particular topics such as women's work, the gender pay gap, parenting, and violence against women.[3][4][5][6]
