Core Values Every day each one of us makes choices based on options – often conflicting options – that we have. It’s simple enough to say, “Just do the right thing”. The question is: how do we know what is right? One’s core values are what determine that right answer. Two important conclusions can be drawn from this thought process. First, a clear understanding of the individual’s core values and steadfast adherence to these is critical. And second, the core values of the individual should be aligned with those of the community of which the individual chooses to be a part.

The Nixor community believes in unquestionable ethics, unconditional respect for teachers, courage in our actions and pursuit of academic excellence. This institution’s vision, our mission and our likelihood of success is built on our commitment to these values.

The Vision

Educational institutions should have a bigger, more direct impact on the well-being of a society than has been the case in Pakistan. Nixor College will change the expectations Pakistan has from its leading educational institutions. Educational institutions have the responsibility of preparing our youth to make a positive impact on their own futures and on that of the groups to which they belong – be it their families, their friends, or their nation. Clearly, personal academic achievement is of vital importance, but there are many other factors that are equally important to groom leaders who drive positive change. By providing the most talented faculty, combined with peer-to-peer on-campus tutoring, Nixor College has transformed the rampant private tuition culture. The after-school hours freed up as a result are dedicated to activities and programs that help sharpen the students’ leadership skills.

The Mission

Nixor’s mission is clear – introduce more that 300 leaders every year into Pakistani society who are ready, willing and able to make a huge positive impact on the lives they touch.

Academics

Nixor College is recognized across the country for providing unparalleled teaching talent. The teachers have diverse teaching styles built upon years of accumulated knowledge & know-how. Teachers conduct classes with autonomy & accountability. Teachers new to the Nixor program are evaluated by the students twice during their first year and once a year subsequently.

ECA

For decades, we have asked our youth to commit entirely and exclusively to chasing letter grades without providing the opportunity to discover what they are passionate about or the necessary focus on developing skills that enable them to apply their academic knowledge. The ECA program is a key part of the education process at Nixor College that is essential to accomplish its mission – Every year, introduce hundreds of leaders into the Pakistani society, ready, willing and able to make a huge positive impact on the lives they touch. Each extracurricular activity and events at Nixor are planned to boost personal development of the students and to strengthen the Nixor community.

Nixor Corporate is one such programme that works on the principle of preparing students to enter the world as a complete, self-assured adult. Owing to an increased interaction with adults and professionals, students tend to learn how to deal with external parties, inorder to market their respective projects, raise funds and carry out the various operational tasks involved; (specially in the case of welfare projects such as Nixor Hospital). Among the various sponsorships, Nixor Hospital has been able to have the advantage of FM 91 who stands as a media sponsor. Students striving towards improving the healthcare condition of Pakistan under the banner of Nixor Hospital, will be able to participate in subsequent live radio shows so as to market their project. Such constructive activities instill a sense of social responsibility and polish skills needed for business dealings in real life.

The ECA involvement of a student at Nixor is high relative to other institutions but is never undertaken at the expense of academics. Student Affairs Coordinators screen all students involved in ECA to ensure that their grades & attendance do not suffer. Students who demonstrate lack of effort and inconsistent participation in class are restricted from ECA.
