Parliamentary elections was held in Niue on 7 May 2011, to elect the members of the Niue Assembly. The assembly consists of 20 members, 6 elected on a common roll and 14 representatives of the villages
In the leadup to the election Speaker of the Niue Assembly Atapana Siakimotu announced that he would be retiring from politics.[1]

Election management
The election is managed and controlled by the Chief Electoral Officer, Justin Kamupala, who is also the Secretary of the Niue Department of Justice, Lands and Survey. .)[2]
Timetable
- 21 April 2011 12pm: closing of nominations
- 27 April 2011 12pm: closing for withdrawal of nominations
- 29 April 2011: closing of registration and objection of names in the electoral roll
- 7 May 2011: polling day
Results
Niue Assembly election results Summary of the 7 May 2011Members Seats Non-partisan members elected on a common roll 6 Representatives of the villages 14 Total (turnout %) There were four changes in membership: Three new members were elected on the common roll, with caretaker PM (and expected new PM) Toke Talagi topping the vote. The only change in village seats was that Tofua Puletama was ousted from Makefu by Salilo Tongia in a close result.[3]
As expected, Talagi was reelected as PM with 12 of 20 votes.[4]
