Night of Silence

Night of Silence

Night of Silence is a Christmas carol and Roman Catholic Advent hymn, written in 1981 by American composer, Daniel Kantor[1], and then published in 1984 by GIA Publications[2]. The carol is a quodlibet[3], the term used for a partner song that can be sung simultaneously with another song. ("Night of Silence" can be sung simultaneously with the Christmas carol "Silent Night"). It has been recorded by Marty Haugen, David Haas, Yvonne Kenny, Chris Squire, St. Olaf College, Vocal Essence, Cantus, and many other choirs and singers worldwide.
