Nicolás Blandi (born 30 January 1990 in Campana, Buenos Aires) is an Argentine football forward. He currently plays for Boca Juniors of the Primera Division Argentina.
Career
Nicolas Blandi began his career in the junior category of a small school called EFI (School of Child football), directed by Peter Ithurburu at the age of 5 years, at age 10 started playing in Puerto Nuevo, then went to the 11 Club Villa Dalmine and was finally Argentinos Juniors 3 years before coming to Boca Juniors at the age of 15 years.
He has good technique, its main virtue is the physical power. He also has a good passing game, powerful shot and is a great finisher which is usually well placed in the penalty area.
In 2010 he was the scorer of the team that won the Reserva and debuted in the First Boca on tour in the United State of America where he scored his first goal against Portland Timbers. To gain experience, he was given to Argentinos Juniors until August 2011.
For the second part of 2011, Blandi returns to Boca Juniors. Although at first was not to be taken into account by the coach Julio Cesar Falcioni, the player decides to stay and ends up being the preference of the coach, who is chosen over Gaona Lugo, Pablo Mouche and Sergio Araujo and even to enter the final minutes parties and as natural replacement Lucas Viatri. Following severe injury Viatri in the first half against Belgrano, Blandi played the entire second half but could not score goals. After a week of much criticism toward him, Blandi debut as a starter October 25, 2011, against Colon de Santa Fe getting this party stands two goals with Boca beat Columbus. In his second career start but scores two goals in the victory by 3 to 1 against Atletico Rafaela in the Torneo Apertura 2011.
