Biography
Born in Verona, Nicola Verlato began painting at a very early age learning from Fra' Terenzio a painter in the monastery of Franciscan monks of Lonigo, Trained in Classical music he studied lute and composition at the conservatories of Verona and Padua, his interest in Rock, lead Verlato to also compose music for documentary films.
He studied architecture on and off at University Iuav in Venice from 1984 to 1990 though he never completed his degree. In 2004 he relocated from Milan to New York, New York. He has shown his paintings, drawings, and sculptures in the United States and internationally, including the Jonathan LeVine Gallery[1] in New York City, and an installation exhibited at the 2009 Venice Biennale in the Italian Pavilion.
