The project of Mr. R.L.Chopra and Mrs. Usha Chopra came into existence in one room, in 1965.
The school is an All India Senior Secondary school, affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education and recognised by the Directorate of Education, Delhi. It has a strength of about 3000 students, 140 teachers and 100 support staff.
Infrastructure
Saraswati Auditorium: The auditorium has the capacity to seat 700 people. The auditorium is the centre of activity and the venue to all major inter-house, inter-school or school functions. The Saraswati Auditorium has been used for greeting Indian personalities, SPIC MACAY performances, and to provide a platform for celebrations and Annual Day functions.
Library: The school has two libraries, Primary and Senior. They are computerized, with about 10,000 books, ranging from magazines, periodicals and journals to biographies, fiction, reference books, dictionaries and books on scientific research.
Science Park: is a collection of gadgets, designed to inform the students about science subjects such as Mechanics, Optics, Meteorology, Chemistry, Biology and Applied Science.
Audio-Visual Room: The audio-visual room is equipped with teaching aids, like electronic white board, colour television, VCR, OHP, audio and video tapes, display boards, and white/black boards for classroom teaching, workshops, seminars and talks by learned guests and visiting faculty.
