Joanna Page (born 1977 in Mumbles, Swansea) is a Welsh actress best known for her role as Stacey Shipman (née West) in the BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey.

Biography

The daughter of garage mechanic and financial services worker, she graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1998.

Page has appeared in the films "From Hell", "Mine All Mine", "Love Actually" and "Miss Julie" and in several productions at the Royal National Theatre and at other theatres. She starred as Mark Owen's love interest in his video for "Makin' Out".

Page stars in the BBC Three comedy "Gavin & Stacey", playing the title role of Stacey. On 23rd November 2007 she performed the ceremony of turning on the Christmas lights in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, the town in which "Gavin & Stacey" is largely filmed. She was later interviewed on Lily Allen and Friends.

In 2008 she will star in the UK premiere of Neil LaBute's "Fat Pig" at the Trafalgar Studios.

Personal life

She married actor James Thornton in December 2003, and currently live in Dulwich, South London.
