Nematops Scientific classification Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Actinopterygii Order: Pleuronectiformes Family: Pleuronectidae Genus: Nematops Nematops is a genus of fish in the Pleuronectidae family, comprising four species distributed in the tropical and subtropical waters of the Indo-West Pacific. Due to their small size (up to 10 centimetres (3.9 in)) and depth of habitation (up to 650 metres (2,130 ft)) few examples of this genus are caught, and as a result little is known of their morphology and distribution.[1]
