Gudelj played for FK Leotar Trebinje in the Yugoslav Second League.[2]
He won the First League of FR Yugoslavia championship with FK Partizan in 1993–94 season.

The son of Gudelj, Nemanja, currently plays for the first team of NAC Breda.
