Nazarbayev University has an established partnership with University College London (UCL), Wisconsin Madison University, and iCarnegie. All students are required to pass foundation year as a first year of study under UCL UPC programme. Afterwards they are to choose at which department to study Bachelor's degree among Engineering, Science & Technology and Social Sciences and Humanities departments. Engineering department as a part of University College London offer 3 branches of engineering, which are Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering. Science & Technology department under the iCarnegie offers Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Biological Science & Technology, Pre-medicine, Robotics & Mechatronics, and Computational Science. The Social Sciences and Humanities department under Wisconsin Madison offer International Relations, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, and Anthropology. The Master's degree will be available to study at in 2012.[1]
