Nayef bin Fawwaz al-Shaalan (born 1956) is a Saudi Arabian prince, maternal grandson of the founding monarch, King Abdul-Aziz. His father-in-law is Abdul-Rahman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, Saudi Arabia's Vice Minister of Defense, a member of the powerful Sudairi Seven and a full-brother of King Fahd. Nayef's older brother, Nawaf bin Fawwaz al-Shaalan, is married to a daughter of Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, the King. Nayef is the twin brother of Saud bin Fawwaz al-Shaalan. Nayef was educated at the University of Miami in the U.S., where he lived from the late-1970s to mid-1980s. He reportedly speaks eight languages. He has invested in the oil business in Colombia and Venezuela. [1] [2] [3]
