National Technical Reports Library

National Technical Reports Library

The National Technical Reports Library (NTRL) was created by the National Technical Information Service (NTIS), an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce, as a means of disseminating scientific and technical information produced by federal and international sources. The NTRL is an IP-authenticated subscription-based platform which allows subscribers to search the extensive NTIS collection using bibliographic parameters. The NTRL is a useful tool for members of the business, library, government, and academic communities as it provides a solution to locating the results of billions of dollars of federal research on a wide variety of topics, including Aeronautics, Chemistry, Energy, Environment, Health Care, Library & Information Sciences, Mathematics, Medicine & Biology, Physics, and Transportation. These are only some of the numerous subjects covered by the NTRL. The NTRL is an overarching means of accessing over 2 million bibliographic records and over 550K full-text reports.
