The school serves portions of unincorporated Montgomery County, the city of Oak Ridge North, a portion of the cities of Shenandoah and The Woodlands, and the unincorporated communities of Imperial Oaks and Tamina.
Oak Ridge High School is the former home of the Conroe ISD Academy of Science and Technology, a science and technology based magnet program. Beginning in the Fall of 2007, all of AST's students are at The Woodlands College Park High School. Oak Ridge also supports a JROTC program.
