PresidentOffice location Moscow, Russia Website SOUZMOLOKO National dairy producers union (SOYUZMOLOKO), is a nonprofit organization created in March 2008 by milk producers of Russia in order to ensure cost-effective conditions for milk production, provide timely information for the members of the Union on the situation of the dairy industry, stimulate milk quality improvement and efficiency of milk production in Russia, as well as to represent and protect Union members interests at state and municipal authorities, public and international organizations.

The 1st Russian National Congress of milk producers
On March 3, 2010, Moscow hosted the 1st Russian National Congress of milk producers, organized by the National Dairy Producers Union[1]. The key point of the Congress was stabilization of the Russian dairy market and taking measures to stimulate the development of the industry in 2010 – 2012, as well as government measures supporting the dairy industry and systems of interaction between SOYUZMOLOKO and the regional unions and associations. During the Congress, participants signed the Agreement on general principles of cooperation between producers and processors of milk within the National Dairy Producers Union. SOYUZMOLOKO aimed at stabilizing and developing the dairy industry of Russia and determining the orientation of pricing for raw milk. The congress brought together more than 500 delegates representing 65 Russian regions, as well as heads of ministries and agencies, relevant committees of both chambers of parliament and Russian regions, producers and processors of milk. The General Committee of the Congress included the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation V.A. Zubkov, Russian Minister of Agriculture E.B. Skrynnik, Chairman of the Board SOYUZMOLOKO A.L. Danilenko, the President of SOYUZMOLOKO A.N. Khairullin, and Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia A.N. Klepach among others.
Members
As of the end of May 2010, the National Dairy Producers Union (of Russia) has over 3000 members from 45 constituents of the Russian Federation, more than 160 of which are milk processors.[2] SOUZMOLOKO also includes dairy producers from the Republic of Belarus[3] and the Republic of Tatarstan.[4]
