The National Archives of Spain are maintained by the Archive (Archivo) department of the Spanish Ministry of Culture. They consist of a number of different collections, held in multiple locations. This includes the Archive of the Indies, the National Historical Archives, the General Administrative Archives, and the General Archive of Simancas.
