Narwa is a Jatt/Rajput Gotra of India/Pakistan. The Jatt section use the name Narwa while the Rajput section call themselves Narma. Places like Narwal are founded by Narwa Jatts.
A considerable number of Narwas can be found in the Gujarat district of Punjab, Pakistan and also in Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana in India.
Narwas belong to Hindu, Islam and Sikh religions.
History
The Narwas are said to be descended from a Raja Karan Singh whose 8th descendant Naru Khan founded the Narwa/Narma tribe and whose other son Thathu founded the Thathal tribe.[1]
