Nammal Lake

Nammal Lake, is situated in Nammal Valley, Mianwali District, Pakistan. It is located 32 km away from the city on Mianwali Rawalpindi Road.

Nammal Lake is not a natural lake. It was shaped as a lake by the British in 1913, before constructing Nammal Dam. When the British announced Mianwali would be a district in 1904. To fulfill water requirements of the city and surroundings, they planned to use water of Nammal Lake. The Mountain range in this area was naturally favourable to make Nammal Lake. During the rainy season, rainwater comes to this lake from three main sources of waterfalls: Rikhi, Tarrappi, and Golirr.

Nammal Lake attractions include the landscape, shrine of Baba Hafiz Jee, fishing, boating and hunting of birds.
