Naila Nazir, Pakistan International Airlines airhostess, was given the Heroism Award at the Flight Safety Foundation of America in recognition of her valorous conduct during hijacking of the PIA aircraft on March 2, 1981. At the age of 23, Miss. Nazir showed commendable bravery when she refused to flee the airliner with armed terrorists. She received the 17th Heroism Award in Boston.
