Nadathur Sarangapani Raghavan is an Indian industrialist, and one of the seven founders of Infosys Technologies,[1] a global consulting and IT services company based in India. In 1981, Narayana Murthy started the company by borrowing INR 10,000 from wife Sudha Murthy. The company was incorporated as "Infosys Consultants Pvt Ltd.", with Raghavan's house in Model Colony, north-central Pune as the registered office.[1] Raghavan is the first official employee of the Infosys company and he retired as joint managing director in 2000. After retiring from Infosys, He worked as a chairman at Murugappa Group for one year.[2] Along with a few associates, he started Nadathur Holdings & Investments in 2000.[3] He is currently the chairman of the advisory council of the N S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
NSRCEL is located at the IIM, Bangalore Campus and set up in March 2002 has successfully groomed budding technology and technology driven services entrepreneurs. NSRCEL organizes several programs and events to nurture the talent to grow up into a services & technology driven profitable companies.Some of the events are:
Management Programme, NSRCEL VCCircle Bengaluru Investment Forum, iWEEKEND, Global Energy Challenge, Shaping the Future by National Geographic Channel, Asia Pacific Future 100, Startup Saturday, Mobile Monday, Cloud Camp, The Millennium Technology Prize.
Since 2002 more than twenty companies have successfully incubated from NSRCEL incubation centre.[4][5][6][7]
