N.P Manicham Errthandaar

N.P Manicham Errthandaar (Nadarajapuram Parimanam Manicham Errthandaar) was a Founder Member of Mukkulathor Sangam, Proprietor and Editor of Weekly magazine Urimai Murasu, Founder of Mukkulathor School, Tamil Nadu Manavar illam, Parimanam primary School and a Philanthropist.[1].

Early life

Manicham Errthandaar born in 1917 at Natarajapuram also known as Errthandaar Patty, a Small Village in Trichy District, to parimanam Errthandaar and Unnamalai Ammal. During school days itself he provided food for poors.

Mukkulathor sangam

Manichanar was one of the key person for the Emergence of Mukkulathor sangam, He Served as a General Secretary of Mukkulathor Sangam accompanied by with U. Muthuramalingam Thevar, P. K. Mookayya Thevar and Andiappa thevar, and Pudhukottai Kaduvetiyar.

He was the person who made Vandaiyar Brothers (G.M.Premkumar Vandaiyar and G.M.Sreedhar Vandaiyar.)to serve for the society.

Self-Respect Movement

Manicham Errthandaar is also a follower of Periyar E. V. Ramasamy he joined periyar and Led nationwide campaigns against Brahmanism, untouchability (of Dalits), ignorance and poverty [2].

Social Welfare

in 1945 he founded Mukkulathor School in Thiruverumbur, Trichy. with the help of his friends and relatives, Sivaji Ganesan was one of the mentionable person who donated for that school.

He founded Tamil Nadu manavar Illam an Orphanage and Parimanam Primary School for the welfare of orphans.

Urimai Murasu

Manichanar founded Urimai Murasu a weekly magazine for the welfare of backward classes was started as a monthly later converted weekly.

Later Life and Death

He was serving poors till death died on 24 oct 1987[3].
