Mycole Metcalf

Mycole Alexandria Metcalf (pronounced /maɪˈkoʊl/) is an American actress, writer and film producer. She started acting on the sets of Bug Off and The Sandlot. Since living in Los Angeles, Metcalf has made appearances on House, NYPD Blue and Fast & Furious. She worked with Patrick Fugit on Bickford Shmeckler’s Cool Ideas. She starred in Ruthless in Love, My Little Princess and The Way to Paradise.

Early life

Metcalf's mother is of Italian descent and her father is from an English, Swedish and French heritage. Her father worked in sales and her mother was a teacher. Her parents divorced while she was young. Metcalf's sister, Mindy, was a make-up artist on one of her first indie films and also for many photo shoots.

Metcalf graduated from the University of Utah,[1] where she performed in college theater productions of See How They Run and Grease.

Career

Early in her career, Metcalf announced the weather on KUTV Channel 2.

Metcalf appeared in many local commercials and Indie films. She worked in clothing print ads for the local ZCMI department stores in Salt Lake City and toured with various theater groups. Her dramatic monologue from Sophie’s Choice impressed many people helping her as she competed and won Miss Utah. Metcalf worked with fellow acting class friend Lindsay Pulsipher in Summer Solstice, one of her first feature films.

After moving to Los Angeles, Metcalf modeled on the TV show “The Other Half” and booked her first speaking role for TV on the hit show “House”.

Metcalf appeared in music videos such as Eminem’s “Superman” video in 2003, and Velvet Revolver’s “Fall To Pieces” video in 2005. In 2010, she appeared in her first horror film, ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2, with her friend and director, Robert Hall. In 2011, Metcalf appeared in the spy feature, “Moscow 7541”.

Metcalf has starred in a few sketch shows in Hollywood at Tres Stage, The Comedy Store and Laugh Factory. Metcalf also appeared as the “office hottie” in “Game On,” a TV Pilot.

Metcalf's writing credits include “Ruthless in Love” and “Closet Cyclers”. Much of Metcalf's writing comes from personal experiences.

She has appeared in many swimsuit calendars, including one to benefit the victims’ families from the 9/11 terrorist attack.

Humanitarian

While in elementary school, Metcalf and her friends handed out warm gloves and socks to the homeless, naming their group “Cold Hands Warm Hearts.”

She volunteers with various theater and art camps for under privileged children at a family shelter in downtown Los Angeles.

Metcalf wrote, produced and starred in “Closet Cyclers,” a short improvisational film that raises awareness for recycling. The project launched a documentary currently being produced by Metcalf and Midnight Monarch Productions, in which many celebrity friends and others share their advice on environmental protection.

Metcalf is also a recent supporter of Kiva, a non-profit organization that facilitates lenders to fund entrepreneurs in developing countries in the form of interest free loans.
