My Major Company UK (MMCUK or MMC) is a Fan-funded music label (a subset of Crowd-funding) launched in the United Kingdom in October 2010. My Major Company UK are a Crowd-funding label which branch from the French Record Label, MyMajorCompany, established in 2008. MMCUK is headed by C.E.O Paul-Rene Albertini. It has several key differences from fan funding platforms such as Pledgemusic, Kickstarter and Sellaband which are :
- Users are able to invest in artists for a return in album sales[1].
- MMC not only acts as a platform for money to be raised but also operates as a fully functioning record label headed by industry professionals.[2]
- MyMajorCompany has its own A&R department responsible for finding and presenting the new acts in the UK to the public.[3]
