Internet fax
Internet fax is a service that permits the sending and receiving of faxes using the Internet rather than the traditional publish switched telephone network (PSTN), also known as the plain old telephone service (POTS) or a traditional fax machine.
Faxing online means that there is no need to worry about connection issues, busy signals or the loss of data. Faxes can be delivered to multiple email addresses and forwarded to multiple recipients.[2]
MyFax
MyFax was launched by Protus IP Solutions as an alternative to fax machines as it enables users to send and receive faxes from any location.[3] MyFax has grown to over 400,000 subscribers,[4] with approximately 20,000 new customers subscribing to MyFax each month.[5]
Some of the features of MyFax include the ability to send and receive faxes by email and through the internet, 24/7 customer support, the choice of a local or a toll free fax number and customizable cover pages. The user can send faxes directly from Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Windows-based applications including Google Docs, OpenOffice, and Intuit QuickBooks.[6] As a product, MyFax is always evolving and recently released an iPhone and BlackBerry applications to make it fully compatible with smartphones.[7]

MyFax has been rated the top Internet Fax Service by TopTenREVIEWS,[10] and was recently voted the best Internet fax service by the readers of tech and lifestyle blogs Gizmodo and Lifehacker.[11]
