Music Mountain Summer Chamber Music Festival, located in Falls Village, Connecticut, is America's oldest continuing summer chamber music festival, and is currently in its 81st season. Its Mission is to provide education through performance of the chamber music literature, concentrating on the string quartet.

History
Music Mountain was founded in 1930 by the violinist Jacques Gordon, as the permanent home for the Gordon String Quartet.
Premises
Music Mountain is home to the famous Gordon Hall. Gordon Hall is one for the finest chamber music halls in the country, with seating for 335 people (400 with additional seating). The Music Mountain premises also boasts 4 houses, each named after an instrument in a string quartet. The houses were built by Sears Roebuck in 1930, and are listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Concerts
In the 2010 season, Music Mountain will produce 25 concerts, and additional community events. Ticket prices are $30 at the door, $27 in advance, and $20/each for a group of 10 or more. Management
Music Mountain is managed solely by volunteers, and may be the only cultural institution of its kind to be managed so. As a non-profit institution, this allows all income, aside from necessary property maintenance, to be used to fulfill its mission. Primary funding for Music Mountain comes from ticket sales.
