Music for the Masses (Lawrence music festival)

Music For The Masses (MFTM) is an annual concert held every summer in Lawrence, Kansas. Historically the concert has taken place at Burcham Park (200 Indiana Street) on the third Saturday in July. The artist line-up is usually acts from the local music scene; however, out of state acts have performed as well. Music For The Masses 2007 (B3) is scheduled to take place after the first week of school for the local university (Kansas University).[1]

Music For The Masses 2005

MFTM started in 2005 as a concert to promote the local music scene. The event lasted all day July 23rd (which also happened to be the hottest day of the year), with a total of 12 bands playing. There was no admission charge.
